Iowa State University Extension of Greene, Boone and Story counties are offering a Master Conservationist program Thursdays, July 31 through Sept. 11. The sessions will be from 5:30 pm until dust at various locations throughout the three counties.
Course topics will include exploration of Iowa’s land and conservation history; prairie, forests and aquatic ecosystems; and conservation practices such as soil health, water management, and habitat restoration.
The course will feature online, self-paced lessons from ISU experts paired with in-person demonstrations and discussions led by local conservation leaders and educators.
There is a $100 fee for service that will be used to offset the direct expenses and support the Ag and Natural Resources Extension program. Registration deadline is July 24 at https://go.iastate.edu/LA4KX. Persons who want more information can contact Ben Wilson, Boone County Extension director, at 515-432-3882 or btwilson@iastate.edu
